1st Day:Athens-Moscow
We gather together at Athens’ airport «El.Venizelos» for our flight departure for Moscow. After our arrival at Moscow Airport we board the coach. During our transition to the hotel we will have our first meeting/connection with the beautiful city of Russia. At the hotel dinner and overnight follows.
2ndDay: Μoscow – City Tour – Cremline
After having our breakfast we continue our tour to the beautiful city of Moscow. We pass from the central avenues Tverskaya and New & Old Arbat with the historic buildings of different times.We see the impressing towers of Stalin era, the National Library, Manez and Douma, the city hall of Moscow and the Prince Yuri Dolgorukiy’s statue. We cross also Teatralnaya Square (or altenatively called Theatres Square), at which the famous Bolsoi Theatre dominates and Mali Theatre.
We climb up the hills of Lenin, where the popular Lomonosof University is located and we admire the Panoramic view of the city. Afterwards, we walk on the «Bridge of Patriarch», in order to visit the magnificent Temple of Saviour Christ. In the end, we visit the wonderful lake of swans which is located in the precinct of the Novodevichy Holy Convent. We end up at the Red Square, which is the silent martyr of many historic events and at the Temple of the Virgin Mary’s Holy Roof.The Temple is also known as the Temple of Saint Vasilios (1560), with the nine coloured domes.
Then, a visit in Kremlin is followed, the former residence of tsars. We will see the picturesque Churches of the 15th and 16th Century which are a sample of the genuine Russian architecture, the Cathedrals of Ascension, Evangelism and Archangel, the famous Cannon and the Bell of Chars, the Palace of Conferences, the Russian President’s buildings of services and the Presidential Palace.
Finally, we end up at the well-known department Goum where we have free-time to walk around and enjoy our coffee. Whoever is interested, may make a visit to Lenin’s Mausoleum which is located in the Red Square. We return to the Hotel for dinner and overnight.
3rd Day: Moscow- Underground(Metro) and Arbat Street-St.Matrona
After having breakfast, we are transported to the Pedestrian Area of Stari Arbat with the famous Underground which is known as the Underground Palace. Most of the stations are real work of art because of the murals, the statues, the stained-glass, the mosaic works and the tessellations. We arrive at the oldest street of Moscow, the street Arbat, where there is plenty of time to tour around. Then we visit Saint Matrona’s Church where we kneel before her Saint Relics. Finally, we return to the hotel for having dinner and overnight.
4thDay: Moscow- Zagorsk – Saint Sergius of Radonezh
After crossing a beautiful route by train we reach Zagorsk, a small full green town which is well known about the wooden statues. We tour in the Monastic Group of Saint Lavra of Holy Trinity .Also we visit the Monastery of Saint Sergius where Saint Sergius’ Holy Relics are hosted. The architectural complex of the Convent contains 50 buildings and since 1993 the Convent has been included into the catalogue of Universal Art Heritage of Unesco. Later on, we return to the hotel for having dinner and overnight.
5th Day:Moscow- Athens.
After having breakfast, we make our last tour in Moscow by visiting the Cosmonauts Museum, which is unique in the world. Then, we are transported to Moscow’s airport for our flight back to Athens.
