1stDay : Thessaloniki
We leave for Thessaloniki and arrive at 9 am. After a while our pilgrimage tour begins at the Temple of St. Demetrius, who is the patron Saint of the city. We continue with our visit to the Metropolitan Church of St. Gregory Palamas, whose history basically reflects the path and evolution of Byzantine architecture and after that we go to the monastery of St. John the Theologian in Souroti where there are the relics of Saint Arsenios as well as the tomb of Saint Paisios. We return for dinner and overnight at Halkidiki Hotel.
2ndDay : Kavala-Drama
We begin visiting the monastery of Ormylia, which is the holy communion of the Virgin Mary’s evangelization. Then we travel to Kavala specifically to St. Paul, the Philippi Church as well as the baptistery of Saint Lydia. Then we depart for the city of Drama where we visit the monastery of the Eikonofoinissa, the oldest monastery in Greece that dates back to the 5th century AD. Finally we visit St. Georgios Karslidis from Pontus, who also lived in Georgia. We spend the night at a hotel in Drama.
3rdDay : Veroia-Kalambaka
We depart for the city of Veroia where we visit the temple of the apostle Paul as well as the numerous Byzantine churches. Then we go to the monastery of the Holy Mother Soumela. We have dinner and overnight in Kalambaka, under Meteora.
4thDay : Meteora-Boeotia-Delphi
Our first stop is the imposing Meteora and the monasteries, which are built atop the rocks. There is a visit to Saint Lucas in Boeotia at an altitude of 430 meters, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Finally, we leave for Delphi, where once the most important oracle of the ancient Greek world operated. Overnight in Athens.
5thDay : Acropolis of Athens-Plaka
We visit the Acropolis of Athens where the Parthenon dominates and gathers the admiration of the whole world for centuries. There is a visit to the historic Plaka and its numerous alleys. It is known as the neighborhood of Gods. We finish our day by visiting the monastery of St. Ephraim.
6thDay : Aegina-Salamis
We depart for the beautiful island of Aegina, the place that was once the first capital of Greece and participated in the famous naval battle of Salamis. We visit Saint Nektarios, one of the largest Orthodox monasteries in the Balkans and a pole of attraction for tourists arriving in the region from all over the world to worship and be healed.
7thDay : Euboea
We depart for Saint John the Russian in Euboea, whose sacred relic remains indestructible in Neo Prokopi and he is considered a miraculous man. We also visit the Holy Monastery of Saint David, sixteen kilometers from the village of Rovies, in a beautiful natural environment. The foundation and erection of the monastery took place in 1535. Finally, we return to Thessaloniki for our flight back.
