1stDay:Athens
Arrive to Athens, meeting with a local guide at the airport and transfer to the center of the city. We will have for a first glance a city tour with a bus where our quide will point out The House of parliament, the Tomb off Unknown soldier ,the presidential palace and the athletic stadium that hosted the first modern Olympic Games IN 1896 Panathenaic Stadium kallimarmaro.Evening free to relax and enjoy the city of Athens
2ndDay:Athens acropolis-Old city
After breakfast we will visit the Acropolis, The Parthenon, Erectheum .We will visit Areios Pagos the rocky hill where the Apostle Paul he preached Christianity to the Athenians for the first time. Additional sites include the new acropolis museum and the Agora ancient market place. We walk through the narrow streets the famous Plaka with many shops and cafes. we will go back in time to 1050 admiring the little church of “PANAGIA KAPNIKAREA” on of the most important Byzantine monuments in ATHENS in the middle of Ermou street. Next, we will visit the Metropolitan Cathedral of ATHENS on Mitropoleos street.Evening free.
3rdDay:Delphi
After breakfast departure for Delphi. Delphi was an ancient Greek city where the most important oracle of the ancient Greek world operated. The archaeological site of Delphi with the ancient theater, the temple of Apollo it’s one of the grandest sights in Greece ,then we will visit one of the most beautiful traditional village of Arachova and one of the most famous winter destination in Greece. Return to Athens, evening free.
4thDay:Patras “Achaia Clauss Winery”-Ancient Olympia
After having breakfast, we departure for the Peloponnese and the city Of Patras with a short stop at the Isthmos the Corinthian canal. Arrival to the third largest city in Greece and we will visit the Cathedral of Agios Andreas, the largest Orthodox church in Greece and one of the largest in the Balkans. We continue our tour with the visit Achaia Clauss Winery. You will be a guided tour Around the premises and you will have the experience of wine. Arrival in the afternoon in Ancient Olympia.Overnight
5thDay:Ancient Olympia-Dimitsana-“Open Air Water Museum”
After breakfast we will have a guided tour at the Ancient Olympia and the Archaeological site. Olympia was the most glorified sanctuary of ancient Greece dedicated to Zeus. It was the venue of the Olympic Games. Next stop the Historical town of Dimitsana and the-“Open Air Water Museum” with dense vegetation and abundant running water, where you can wander around. You will see the buildings of an old watermill a tannery and a power mill. Their permanent equipments have been restored to their original function. Overnight.
6thDay:Mycenae-Nafplio-Tolo
Following breakfast departure for Mycenae The «goldest Mycenae» of Homer where you will admire the legendary gate of the Lions, a symbol of power of the royal house of Mycenae., Admire «the cyclopean walls», the famous «Treasure of Atreus», the «tomb of Clytemnestra», the «palace of Atreides» and many other monuments of the time where myth met history. The excavations in the 19th century brought to light these priceless monuments .. Then you will enjoy One of the most beautiful cities in Greece, the city of Nafplion – first capital of the newly formed Greek state since 1823.Visit the castle, on the top of high hill with a magnificent view of a small island of Bourtzi. Overnight at Tolo the old fishing village.
7thDay:Epidaurus-Athens
Following breakfast departure for Epidaurus and a tour of 2.300-year-old open it Theatre with a magnificent acoustic. Since 1988 it belongs to the world cultural heritage of UNESCO.On our way back to athens we will also admire the Corinth canal “Isthmos” Arrival in Athens and free time in the historic city of Athens.
8thDay:Athens-Return Flight
Transfering from your hotel to the Airport for your returning flight..
